Hi, this sounds like an smtp blocking issue. Depending on the domain of the email used, things might be blocked. You will need to go to Settings > Mail/Calendars/Contacts > The email account in question, and into advanced. Look at th smtp. It's usually a button. That takes you into another page which shows you the settings such as the server name and the type of authentication and the port. In most cases there will need to be a user name and password for the smtp part. That's the same as the incoming settings. Then if the port is set to 25, you will probably want to change to either 465 or 587 and turn on ssl/tls for the security. That should fix it in 90% of the cases like this.

Hi listers,

        I'm Away from home

I'd like to assist a blind iPhone user who is currently away from home
for a month and would like to send email from her iphone. She says it worked
perfectly at her home but will not send from her current location. she has
wifi connection and says also that her cellular data is turned on. Can anyone
offer me some suggestions to look for to help her to get her iPhone to send
email again?

Thanks for any tips.
