We tried touch typing here both my husband and myself, I made tons of errors end up never getting a pass word in correctly and my husband turned off Voice Over it annoyed him so much. I know I am in the minority here but I prefer the standard typing mode, I type all day so sliding around all the time just does not quite feel good to me and I am interested in typing on my phone with the least amount of errors I can get. We are all different. I only bring this up because you feel more comfortable with standard typing you are probably not the only one who does.

From the home page, hit the home button once to go to the Search page. Then use the roter to find typing mode.
