Hello Mark. Unfortunately the webpage only allows you to select what is on the screen instead of selecting all messages. The true way of deleting everything from the all-male folder if you no longer wanted is to set up the Gmail account on a computer with a real email program. The Mac mail program might do this, but I know that Thunderbird will for sure. Also remember that folders are not real folders in Gmail. Instead they are labels and the real message actually is on the all-male folder. So if you are to delete the message from all-male and it has a label, it will also be deleted. So this is important to keep in mind. I hope this helps you and others with questions about how Google handles mail storage.
