Hi Folks, As I introduced WordLadder to the list, I've just discovered something that I think people should be warned about if they're going to pay out the money for the various game packs.
First though, I want to mention a bug regarding the free daily puzzle. As many of you may have noticed if you went into the game and played the daily puzzle for today, there were the usual dates there, however, the most recent date was February 22, which was yesterday's date. The Problem is, if you look at the first two cells of the date range, you'll notice two dates there for June and July. This happens occasionally, but you don't have to worry, as the daily puzzle for the date are in those two dates, just in case you haven't been able to find the daily puzzle for today. As I said, this occasionally happens, but I've notified Sporcle about this bug, and they're working on it. Speaking of bugs, this brings me for the main issue. If you're thinking of purchasing any of the game packs, or purchasing the all game packs option for the 4.99 USD which includes over 500 game puzzles, please be careful, as some of the 500 puzzles are not accessible at this time using Voiceover. The way it works is that in Game Pack I, you'll find puzzles 11 through 29, and in Game Pack II, you find game puzzles 61 through 80. Presumably, there should be puzzles 21 through 59 in Game Pack I, however, they're no where to be found, and, down below, where you would find the page 1 of 1 icon, you'll now find page 1 of 3. Naturally, one would assume that those missing puzzles are on pages 2 and 3, but alas, pages 2 and 3 are not reachable using Voiceover. Don't get me wrong, should you purchase the all games packs for the 4.99 USD, you'll get plenty of puzzles, but you'll be short changed, and, assuming that each game pack is missing in excess of 30 puzzles, then there are over 300 puzzles missing from their advertised 500 puzzles. I have contacted Sporcle about this, and am in an e-mail exchange with a woman named Rachel who seems interested in resolving this problem for us, but I'm still waiting for word on my last e-mail. I' not saying that you shouldn't purchase the game packs, which ever one that may be, but I just thought I should warn you in case you do decide to purchase the over 500 game packs selection, and somewhere along the line you only count 100 or so of the puzzles. Naturally, I'll keep everyone posted as to if and when Sporcle resolves this bug/issue, so if you want to wait until then, feel free. Sorry about not warning everyone earlier, but I just found out about this now.
