You did but it doesn't matter. I had speaktoit on my iPhone 4. To be
totally frank with you, it sucked. You can set up the app for a daily
briefing. That sounds good as you look through the list of offered choices
such as top stories, world news, US news etc. The trouble was, when you
double tapped on an item to add to the daily briefing, she had to say every
time here is what I have in your daily briefing and then she would read the
list and then she would say and here is a list of other topics you can also
add and then read that list. I really wanted to give this app a real
chance. I had it and tried it and spent more time trying to communicate
with the app with only 1 item being correct. The rest of the time she says
I didn't understand you. Maybe we can come at it from another direction or
in other words, rephrase your question. If you have to spend 20 minutes
trying to get the app to find the information you could of found yourself by
typing it in to the Google Search Box or the Yahoo search box and got the
info faster.
Because I have an iPhone 4, I don't have siri. So far, no other app matches
siri. They all fall short in one area or another.
After thinking about it I thought to myself you really didn't spend that
much time with the app. So I downloaded and installed it again.
I got to setup the daily briefing but it took over a half hour because she
kept repeating everything and it could have been done allot better by having
an I'm done now button when selecting items to add to the briefing.
The Briefing it's self isn't anything you couldn't of found on your own.
All she did was to make a list of your interests and searched for stories on
each topic and offered the first choice that came up and not let you see
several items to pick from. Saying stop and read item should have resulted
in her shutting up and reading the requested item and there should of been a
continue reading the topics to choose from feature as well. In the end I
deleted it again and have no plans to go back to it. As a free app it still
sucks and is no match for siri. When I did try the app to send a text
message, all it did was to open the texting app and it didn't even get the
name correct when I told her who to text including first and last names.
After several times of hitting the cancel button and starting over again,
she got the name correct and insisted on me naming a subject for the subject
line. Then if you can believe it, she still got the text of the message
wrong. The developers need allot more work done on this app.

Subject: Did I get the wrong app?
Last evening, I wanted to download the app "Speak to it" while it was
still free. But when I searched in the app store, I found 28 or 29 apps
grouped together, the first of which was entitled "speak it to me." Since
this most closely matched "speak to it," that is the one I downloaded
which incidentally was free. So, did I get the right app? If not, what is
the correct title of the one I wanted?
Thanks.
