Hi, the batteries are the same I've used since June 2012 and I've yet to replace them. Several times I've even forgotten to turn off the keyboard via the power switch, but it goes into sleep mode and so battery life is saved. All in all, this is the best Bluetooth keyboard for under $40 I've seen.

wow, this might just let me leave the netbook at home. Do you have any
idea of how long the 2 batteries last? I know my only other experience
with a wireless keyboard was with a infrared keyboard and the batteries
lasted forever.

Question to Raul

Hi Lisa, I'm so glad to hear that my podcast helped you make a good
decision. I looked at the case for it from Amazon and wasn't
personally impressed. Of course it's totally subjective and so don't
take my word for it. What I did was get a Targus gadget bag which is
about 10 inches from left to right and it holds my keyboard, my extra
battery pack, various cables, headphones, and anything else which is
on the smaller side. Then when I travel I just put the keyboard in
that and it fits just fine along with the New Trent battery packs,
their cables, my Bluetooth headphones, and a couple of USB sticks and
USB cables. Basically the nerd things I would need on a job or
personal trip. I don't even take my netook any more, which used to be
my default portable solution.

Hi. I purchased this keyboard on the basis of Raul's awesome demo. The
price was also a contributing factor. It was under $30 and eligible for
that ever popular Super Saver Shipping.

Thanks to the demo, I was able to pair the keyboard with my iPhone
completely solo, and I'm a totally blind tech dork. The only difference
between my experience and the demo was that I had to install the
batteries myself. Otherwise, I'm very happy with my purchase.

This keyboard is small, but the keys are large enough for someone with
big hands, there's a raised dot on the F and J keys, as well as dots on
the up and down arrow keys. There are also media control keys, as well
as a volume key at the top of the keyboard. You can turn on voice over
help once the keyboard is paired and learn the layout that way, though
only the top row are different from a conventional keyboard.

I really like this keyboard's feel for the money. I'm considering
purchasing the case Amazon offers just to extend the keyboard's
portability.

Hi Raul:
Is this a keyboard I should consider. I have been thinking of
purchasing one but haven't done any research yet. Thanks!

Hi, I changed the subject line to be a bit more appropriate to the

could get it from. I also believe I compared it to the Apple Keyboard.
So, that would have given you a second source to compare it to. I've
provided the link below and it should tell you though. BTW, the
cost is
currently $29.99.

Hope that helps.

Hi, more on this app. I played with it a little more and saw that in
order for it to read, it uses cloud-based TTS reading. So this means
that which ever document you have loaded in the app, it uses data to
send the document to the net and then the TTS voice reads it to you.
So, this is a bit like streaming. I don't know how much data it uses
up with this method, but I don't see it as being a viable source of
reading text files. I also think it only supports txt files, but I
could be wrong on this point. I would still choose to use Voice
Dream
Reader since it offers much more features and it doesn't use a
cloud-based TTS to get you that higher quality voice.

It actually looks pretty good. I was able to scroll to a certain
part
of
the text and double tap it. The speech began reading from that

have not yet connected my dropbox account to it or added other
things.
So the only experience I have so far is with the sample text. I
switched
between two different voices and it all seems fine. I wonder
what the
catch is or what the limits are considering that it is free. I
notice
that it only has a 3.5 rating in the App Store. Perhaps I should go
read
the comments to see what others have said. However based on the
initial
impressions this app does look rather promising.
