David or anyone: Had a "duh" moment, so thanks David. However, how do I make a new folder in the native mail app (have IMAP), and after I save the attachment in the folder, can I read it? Do not know, but I think it is in Word formAt. That is why I was asking for an app to save in. Gosh I hope I get my computer fixed soon! Never knew I would miss it so much. Thinking of getting a Mack, but questions on that later.

IMAP means all email is on the server. Moving messages from the inbox allows for more messages to come in without needing to delete messages. For your second question, it is more difficult, but not impossible by any means, to use Prizmo without the StandScan box.
