Caleb, Richard and others, I think Richard may have helped uncover something. Using Braille Touch, I texted myself and I got the message and I obviously have an iPhone. I then tried to text my husband, whom I text for often than anyone else, who has a droid and message failed. And yes, I am able to text him without BT with no difficulty. I then texted an iPhone-owning good friend (one I know is up and about at this early hour) and he got it.
I can type a message and put it in the clipboard, go to Messaging and address the usual way and paste from the clipboard, but I'd like to cut out those steps.
