Well, it's not my call, and I'll be happy with whatever the moderator decides, but if this were a link to more information on where to get a podcast on using the iPhone then I would agree. If it's a discussion on how to upload podcasts to iTunes from the iPhone then I would also agree. However, if it's a discussion on how to generate a podcast, create a podcast or an RSS feed, use a PC or a Mac to upload the podcast to iTunes then I'm thinking this is getting off topic. I wouldn't consider audio or video editing on the PC to be on topic for this list, even if I were going to use that information to create a YouTube video or a podcast on using the iPhone. I'm sure virtually every post or issue on technology is going to be of interest to someone on this list, but that doesn't mean that there are no boundaries for the list or that the list doesn't have a concept of what is and is not on topic. Again, it's not my call, and I'll defer to the list and the moderator, but maybe that's why the original poster wanted to be contacted off list with the information being asked for.

Just a question, how can this be off-topic if it assists individuals who

In the past, I've suggested people not take discussions off list that I
thought would be helpful to keep on list, but in this case, I wonder if
this topic isn't off topic for the list and wouldn't be more appropriate
to be taken off list or taken to another list.

Ditto. post it to the list, please.

I truly hope that whoever writes to you rights on list. I also would
love to have this information, in case I decide to podcast in the
    future.

    Hi All,

Im helping a friend who wants to create podcasts and post them to
iTunes. She already has the audio content in an mp3 file. Would
any of you fabulous podcasters be willing to write me off list to
give me some guidance on how to create a feed and submit it to
iTunes?

    Much appreciated.
