Hi Annie, It is impossible for them to put on any indicators as to where to place the phone. You have to do that yourself with your own phone. This device is not designed to work only with IPhone so, the position varies depending on the phone.

I would say that it is some good improvements, often products can be long on their ways with improvements, that does not seem the case with standscan pro. I would love something that could hold the phone in the right place. I helped my brother today, I could see that some sort of tactile frame or something would help to get the phone placed correct. I think I will try to find some material of which I could make an angle, so that one corner of the phone should be placed in that angle.
