Hi Sieghard, Thanks for the info, once an account was set up, how would I switch from one to the other to check mail? Is there something like switch account, that I'd double tap on and then accounts would be in a list and I just select the one I wish to view and it takes me to the inbox of that account and starts automatically downloading mail?

Hi Andrew, Yes, you can have as many as you want, well, I guess having 10 may not be practical and if you had them all set to Push it would use up a lot of battery. Anyhow, I have both my business email and my one personal Hotmail account set up, you can either see all emails in the "All Inboxes" folder or you can go to each account separately. You would set one of the accounts as your default account, typically it's whichever one you create first that is set as the default account by default. If you compose a message and want to send it from the other account, you can double tap on the "From" field, then a pop up control becomes visible where you can flick up or down and select whichever account you want. The iPhone has predefined account types such as Exchange, gmail, Yahoo, Windows Live Hotmail or you can choose "other" and then you can choose whether you want to set up the account as an IMAP or POP account. If you want your mail to be kept in sync between a computer and your iPhone or even have other devices, I highly recommend you use IMAp or, if you use a Hotmail or Outlook.com account, use the Windows Live Hotmail account which sets up the account using Exchange Active Sync. I just looked at your email address and I don't know what the Bigpont.net provider offers, but obviously you would need to have the correct information handy as far as IMAP settings are concerned or if they only support POP, you need incoming server, outgoing server, user name, password etc. I personally like Outlook.com a lot which used to be Hotmail/Windows Live because Microsoft has done a lot of upgrades to the service and it's top notch. Hi all, I'm weighing in a little late on this discussion and have missed a few emails so if this has already been covered sorry, but just wondering if you were to have two accounts setup, how would you switch between them? -----Original Message----- From: viphone@googlegroups.com [mailto:viphone@googlegroups.com] On Behalf Of Ed Barnes Sent: Friday, 3 May 2013 5:02 AM To: viphone@googlegroups.com Subject: Re: Can I have more than one e-mail account on an iDevice? Hi Bill and list. Chiming in on this discussion, as others have already stated yes you can have more than one email account configured on your favourite i-device. I have several accounts configured on my iPhone 4S. And, when you open the native mail client you can pick which account you would like to view so the emails from each account are separated, they are not all lumped together such as they are if you configure multiple email accounts in a program like ms outlook express on windows. However, as the native mail app on the i-devices configures itself so that the password for each account is saved by default under settings/mail contacts and calendars another concern which may be important to bring up in the context of this conversation is that of security or the lack thereof, I.E., user 1 could quite easily view the email, contacts, and calendar belonging to user 2. Of course, depending upon the relationship of the two users in question under this setup security may not be a concern, however; as we don't know such finite details I figured I'd toss this issue out for discussion.
