I can confirm that I'm getting the same strange results when dictating to
Siri with my iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1. It is odd that Siri captures
everything I'm saying even if it's not that many words. However, she doesn't
place it in a message as I requested but instead says something inane about
wow that's a lot of words or quotes something similar from literature with
no option to use the dictated words. Very strange.

If it's the Apple servers as Sieghard opines, I hope they get this resolved.
I guess I'm glad I've gotten proficient with Fleksy.

Hi again, arissa,

Sorry for my previous email asking what this was about, I just now saw this
message.

I know this probably won't help, but I just created a new text note in List
Recorder and in the note field started dictating. I kept on dictating (see
below) until SIRI automatically stopped listening after 30 seconds, the
below text was instantly inserted:

This is a test. I am recording this using Siri. Earlier today I have a phone
call with my cousin, Thomas. It is Saturday today and it is raining outside.
I also tried to call my mom earlier but she wasn't home. I will have to try
and call back later. The purpose of this test is to find out if I have the
same problem that some people report. Apparently they are not able to
dictate longer passages of text.

I didn't time the recording of this, but this piece of text is 81 words and
I know that when I do radio advertising for my store the ads are limited to
90 words because that is what they can fit into a 30 second add and I spoke
probably a bit slower and spoke punctuation so I'm pretty sure it listened
for the maximum 30 seconds.

Regards,
Sieghard

Dear list
I have said punctuation and it makes no difference, I also said short
sentences and short lines it works okay but as mentioned when you try to
dictate something longer Siri acts up. I emailed Apple and hope one of the
representatives can get back to me, I called AppleCare and they said that
they're not sure maybe Siri was updated internally By Apple, and it is just
"siri's behavior"I am thinking, that this is something either was a bug or
planned by apple to discourage us from sending lengthy texts. Either way, I
am not happy Henryland Siri just like the rest of you and annoys me that she
is not working correctly
