My problem with read2go is it's own voices. They suck. Most of the words they
mispronounce Voice-over gets right and it's pretty petty that they made the app
so that if you want to do continuous reading, it's with their voices or turn
the pages yourself.

Since writing my message yesterday, I have read a little more with VoiceOver,
and bolstered my feelings that it is more trouble than it is worth, for
continuous reading. I am very glad we have the ability to use VoiceOver, to
enable us to use VoiceOver's navigation features, and to know how to spell
words if need be. However, having to advance it page by page like that, and
having it read the menu at the bottom of the page? No. In my opinion, the
designers of Read To Go meant it to be used primarily with its own voices. It
flows better with them.

Yes, I am using voice over. I prefer it to the other voices and I like
using the gestures to control my reading.
I feel the same about the twenty dollars for read 2 go... Its worth it just
for all their good work.

it. If you decide to get Voice Dream and stop using Read To Go, just think of
that $20 as a contribution to BookShare.

That’s really odd. At first, I thought it was the book I was reading,
which is long and not terribly well marked up. However, my mother just read the
same book on her 4S and the app never crashed once. I’m also wondering if it
has to do with the large number of books I’ve downloaded, though that doesn’t
make much sense. BTW, I forgot to mention I’m reading using HQ Samantha instead
of the Acapella voices.
