Containers move you quickly from one part of the screen to another. For example, when you open settings, if you at the settings heading, one swipe down will take you to airplane mode. The next swipe down will take you to the heading of whatever item is selected, such as general.
As you right flick through general, when you want to get back to the top of general, one flick up will take you to the beginning of that side of the screen, which is the top of general. You see, the screen of the iPad and the iPad mini , either size, is divided into two sides especially when an app is opened such as settings, mail, contacts, and so on. Hope this helps.
