I didn't think so. I always think just because accessibility wasn't mentioned doesn't mean Apple doesn't care. As the old saying goes, no news is good news.

Hi again Nimit,

Just wanted to add that there is no need to worry about Apple forgetting
accessibility. K?

Just wanted to set your and others' minds at ease.

Thanks for your note!

Cara :)

Oh. Thanks for clearifying that..... I misunderstood Cara... Well,
if that's the case, I can't wait!! I still wonder if there is a blind
apple developer that we can hear from? Just curious!!! That would be
cool and I hope apple didn't leave us out.... They probably did not,
but then, again, who knows? Thanks!

No, I think she's saying that between now (the WWDC keynote) and the
fall when IOS 7 is released, we'll hear more about accessibility and IOS 7.

Hey Cara! So, you mean, that there is somewhere in apple site that
accessibility comments regarding IOS 7 have been posted? Just
curious!!! If so, hope someone shares it. I wonder if there is an
blind apple developer in this list who could get their hands on the
update as a developer and make comments to apple about accessibility?
If so, I hope that person comes forward if they are checking their
emails. Just curious!!! That's all!!! Good Job, apple for their
previous accomplishments!!!! Thank you Cara again! Good day to you
also!

Hi Richard, Apple has never ignored accessibility.

Also, most accessibility changes have not been mentioned at the keynote
but
have been quietly posted afterward on the site. This is actually more
the
way Apple has usually done this in the past so no need to get upset
before
wee know more. :)

I'm confident that accessibility is very much taken into account here.

Thanks for your note and have an awesome day!

Cara :)

I listened to the Keynote today. I was interrupted during some of the
iOS 7
portion when they were talking about the 10 new features.
However, nothing about accessibility was mentioned.
In prior Keynote addresses, they always mentioned accessibility changes,
improvements, etc.
Siri is getting a new voice, but that has nothing to do with
accessibility.

In fact, one thing they mentioned that does not sound very good from an
accessibility stand point is the automatic updating of apps.
If they don't allow us to disable that feature, there will be no way to
avoid updating an app that has broken accessibility.

I know there are developers on this list and I know you are all under
NDAs,
but it will be good to know if accessibility is being improved rather
than
ignored.

Just my two cents worth,

Richard
