Hello,
The cursor follows what you are doing. That is, according to the direction you
are working in. The cursor will shift when you change your direction of work.
Say that you are at the start of the second paragraph in an editor. If you move
forward to the right, the cursor will be to the left of where you last crossed.
However, if you change and start moving back toward the start of this imaginary
paragraph, the cursor will now be just to the right of where you are as you
move back toward the start of the paragraph.
I'm sure this is as clear as mud, but because the cursor works differently than
how it works in a Windows environment, it can be strange at first.
I've been using Apple products for several years and now, I think that the way
cursors work in Windows is strange. I suppose that I am trying to say that in
time, the way the cursor works in either iOS or OS X, you will probably come to
like this cursor following you kind of thing.
HTH!
