I stumbled on this group because I basically have a similar problem. Not necessarily with iPhone 5, but my iPod 3rd gen is behaving in the same way, running IOS 5.1.1. My iPhone 4S doesn't appear to have the problem. As an added piece of troubleshooting information, I use the jazzradio.com app, and it conveniently displays the streaming rate while being used. When the sound drops from jazzradio.com, THE STREAMING GAUGE STILL INDICATES A CONTINUED STREAM - but I can't hear anything! This would mean that the stream is coming in, but is not being played by the sound interface. This would point to a problem between the IOS sound interface and the app. I can normally play a stream for an initial 15-30 minutes, and it will then start dropping more and more frequently, and will rapidly come to a point where it will drop after 1-2 minutes. To re-start, all I have to do is "pause" the stream on the app, and "play" to hear again. Hopefully this post will help with the troubleshooting! Eric
