Hello,

A while back I posted my very positive experience contacting Booking.com who
offer over 300,000 hotels via their website and app. I wrote to them and
mentioned that the app worked well, but that the search results list was
almost unuseable with Voiceover since it was extremely sluggish, you
couldn't flick through the list of results and touching the screen in
different places did work, but it was sluggish and often unreliable and
repeated a lot of information.

I initially contacted them about a month ago, in Mid May. I received a
prompt reply that my feedback would be passed on to their development team.
About a week later the same person reported that the development team would
look into this and again a week or 10 days later (about 2 weeks ago) the
same person again send me a message without me asking saying that
improvements had been made and would be available in the upcoming update.
The update took a while, but this morning it was in the app store and I
downloaded it right away and did a search for hotels in Vancouver. I am very
happy to say that now the list of search results works perfectly, it is fast
and you can right flick through the list, Voiceover reads the hotel name and
the starting price of the room rates it found for the date you entered. You
can then double tap on a hotel, often there is more information given and
even in the prior version, once you got to that point actually making a
reservation was no problem. Booking.com does also work with Passbook and I
find this very handy since after I make a booking I can add it to Passbook
and when I get to the hotel I can, if necessary, just pull up the booking
confirmation.

This is another example of a large company being very responsive and I hope
everybody who travels on a regular bases for pleasure or business and who
needs to make hotel reservations will give the Booking.com app a try and
hopefully take a few minutes to give them a good rating with a comment that
they are a happy Voiceover user of the app.

Regards,

Sieghard
