What do most of us totally blind people do when purchasing something off of the INTERNET? I'm not sure I understand what you're getting at with this statement.

I'll very seldom purchase an application if I can't take it for a spin first myself, and in general I've been able to do this. If I can't try it myself first then I'll rely on reviews, demos and podcasts. I'm not sure how a sighted person would do this any differently. Maybe you're talking about how a sighted person can see a picture of a product on line before buying it or take a peek at some screen shots, but when I've asked my sighted family for help or watched them purchase things on line, this doesn't seem to help too much!

I don't like the house analogy myself, the difference in price is just too great, as is the time commitment. Actually I find analogies in these types of arguments to be pretty useless myself. They always seem like a one sided stretch, but i understand that's the point. I do agree though that for myself I'll need a trial/demo or a really convincing review or podcast before I'll purchase this app.

Only problem with pricing that I see and this won't matter to me but I think
maybe there should have been a monthly or six-month subscription plan.
Probably will have it on my phone this weekend some time. Then I can dump
something that has never worked well for me.

Hello,
Yes, you can download the app for free. However, without signing up for a
payed subscription 1 or 3 years, you will not be able to see anything about
the app. You will not be able to see the layout of the app, how the
interface looks or anything else.
At this point in time, I will not purchase the app because of this
situation. That's like saying, here's a house for you to purchase, but you
cant take a look at it till after you purchase.
At the least, they could have let potential subscribers see what the app
looks like.
Until this changes, I'll not be a purchaser.
JMO.

Did you ever realize that the more you know, the more you realize you don't
know?

My wood shop teacher from many years ago, gave me this little bit of
knowledge. However, he never did tell me where he got it from.

Hello,

You are correct when you go into the app store. However, this is a
paid app, which is access within the app. As others have stated, a one
year subscription is $69 and 3 years subscription is 129. HTH.

Previous posters discussing this app have stated it has a subscription
fee.
When I went into the store, it said the app was free. I am confused.
Please clarify. Thank you
