I believe when you set up a rule to move a message that there is a checkbox to "Delete from Inbox" or something like that and you have to check that. If you don't I believe whatever label is applied to your message, but it also remains in your Inbox. You will have to log into your gmail account online, find your rule, edit it and look for that checkbox. I don't use gmail, so I can only repeat what has been said.
