Hi Joanne,,

If you plan on using the BlueAnt Q3 with an iPhone 5, make sure that you get
feedback from someone who has applied the latest firmware update. The initial
reviews all cited problems with dropped calls and bizarre sounds when this
model was paired with the iPhone 5, only (not with the iPhone 4 or 4S). A
number of manufacturers have had to do firmware releases because of the way
Bluetooth functions were implemented in the iPhone 5. Reviews of the Q3 model
with the new firmware are quite recent -- only two weeks ago for the Cult of
the Mac, for example. The U.S. Amazon site has a review from someone who
bought this model in April, on the strength of his previous experience with the
BlueAnt Q2, and returned it because of the BlueTooth performance (with a note
that he fully expected to get this again when the new firmware was released.)

BlueAnt firmware updates are straightforward, but are only available on the
Windows platform, despite the fact they've been stating they have Mac versions
in preparation for over 3 years. Jawbone has frequent firmware updates, and a
Mac version of the updated, but their MyTalk web site has pretty bad
accessibility, and I would just advise you to get sighted assistance if you
have to use it.

I'll let you hear from current users of these products. HTH. Cheers,

Esther
