Hi Lois,

You might want to check out the following Link:

http://www.iphone-lanyard.com/Site/iPhone_Holder.html

I bought on of the neck holders for my 4S and it works extremely well. I
don't use it a ton, but I do usually bring it along on holidays, I really
like it when I am flying because often the seats are narrow and having the
iPhone in a case clipped to my belt is not comfortable, furthermore I
usually try to wear some sort of softshell pant with some stretch on long
flights and preferably without belt, it is one less thing I have to take off
when going through airport security.

Anyhow, this is not an expensive gadget, it works and I think it holds the
phone a lot more securely than something that clips into the dock connector.
Even on a 4 or 4S with the 30-{Pin connector I'd be a bit worried that the
strain might damage the dock connector.

When I ordered my neck holder I called the guy to ask some questions and it
turns out he is an older gentleman who I think first developed an iPad stand
for his wife who was ill or disabled, can't remember. He was very nice and
pleasant to deal with. I saw now that he has more product, I will actually
have to call him about his tripod mount and I see he even has a Skype name
listed as well as phone number and email.

He also offers a 30-day satisfaction guaranty.

Sieghard

Hi Sarah,

I tried to find this and wasn't successful. You didn't say which iPhone you
had. Is it a 4S or 5. I'd like to find something like that for my 5,
though I think the lightning port makes something like that more of a
challenge.

Thanks,

Lois

Subject: iPhone Strap I Discovered

I just bought a very handy accessory I thought people might like to hear
about. It is a neck strap adapter to carry your iPhone around your neck when
you can't or don't want to hold it the whole time.

It is made by Simplism Japan. It is a dock adapter, and either comes as a
clip that you can clip onto a loop such as on your jeans or a purse, or you
can get it as a lantern that you wear around your neck. It attaches to your
iPhone via the charging port, and has two little metal hooks that go in and
hold it on, so it fits extremely securely and won't fall off.

I find it extremely useful when I am using GPS apps like the Seeing Eye GPS
locator wand to see what is around me, and I have to let go of it sometimes
to be able to handle my guide dog. It also provides that extra level of
security from accidentaly dropping it if I am also carrying other things.
And since it is hanging upside down around my neck, it is not difficult to
hear voiceover through the phone's speaker as I am walking. Oh, it also
works very well for using Facetime with someone if I want them to be able to
see something and I can't hold the phone very easily. I've had it for a
week, and am loving it so far. Its quite inexpensive too, around $12 or so
on Amazon.

Sarah
