For what it's worth, I don't have a wifi router or Cable/digital TV service. Wifi is everywhere anyway, so why have your own wifi service when you can go to a restaurant or other business and get free wifi. I also have wifi at my in-laws house which we visit on nearly a weekly basis. I don't have the money for separate Internet service. We may get Internet/wifi but it won't be till next year. This was why I was thinking of getting the wifi/cellular combo version of the iPad.
