Hi Kay,

I have never signed up for a FourSquare account, yet I can add a place in My
Places and this place will only be on your iPhone in BlindSquare and
completely private. So, no worries, if you add your house, I am not going to
show up with 50 others from the list on Saturday evening for a party
*smile*.

Regards,
Sieghard

My question is when you add a place, isn't that public for everyone else to
view? So for example, if you marked your house would that make this info
public?

Hi Jennifer,

As Anna already pointed out, go to My Places, then at the top right is an
Add Place button. When you double tap on that it may put in an address if
you are on a street, but you can use the Clear All button and type in your
own description. After that is a checkbox if you want to have BlindSquare
automatically alert you when you approach the place. If you check it, there
is one more field to fill out and that is the distance at which you will be
alerted, enter a number which would be the number of feet or metres
depending on where you are.

As for accuracy, BlindSquare will be as accurate as the GPS signal you get
and the receiver the iPhone has. |I have never seen accuracy displayed as
less than 5 m (approx.. 16 feet) on the iPhone.

When I placed my last Garmin order for my store (I sell their outdoor
handheld units) I ordered a GLO which is their external bluetooth receiver
for the iPhone. I thought given that it acquires both satellites from the
GPS and Glonas system which is a network of Russian satellites, I thought |I
might get better accuracy, but unless that is something BlindSquare doesn't
portrait accurately, whenever I go to tools and GPS info when I have the
G\lo turned on and paired, it tells me the accuracy is 10 metres or approx.
33 feet.
When I walk it seems to be just as accurate as far as telling me about
intersections and I really have to spend some time setting 2 user defined
points, one with and one without the external receiver and then approach
them once again with or without to really find out if the GLO is more
accurate. I would expect at least 3 m or 10 feet accuracy with it.

Sieghard

Hi. How do I program a landmark in blind square? Also, how accurate will it
be in getting to this landmark? Is there a better program to create your own
pois that is more accurate?
thanks
