Hi Edward,
Has this been you riPhone from day 1 or is it one you bought used from somebody else? If you had it all along, then have you had other computers you synced it with? Whether you loose anything which can't be recovered depends on whether you had stuff on the previous computer which you don't have now. It's hard for me to make that call without knowing exactly what sort of media is on your phone, e.g. what music and how much, ringtones, photos etc. As for apps, those you purchased and you'll never loose them, you can always redownload an app without having to pay again. Where you might loose something is if you have music on your phone which is not on your computer and which was not bought from iTunes. The same goes for audio books, ringtones and possibly photos. Let me know if you need more help with this, you can write to me directly at siegh...@live.ca if you want. I'm currently trying to move the book from my iTunes library to my iPhone. I listened to a podcast about syncing in iTunes that outlined the steps in detail. I followed the steps exactly but, when I press the apply button to start the sync, I get the following message in a dialog box: The iPhone "My iPhone" is synced with another iTunes library. Do you want to erase this iPhone and sync with this iTunes library? An iPhone can be synced with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iPhone with the contents of this iTunes library. I don't want to erase the contents of my iPhone but I'm not sure what to do. How do I find out the name of the library with which my iPhone is synced and how do I change it to another library without damaging my current iPhone contents? Can anyone recommend a manual that goes into detail on using iTunes? Any help is greatly appreciated.
