I have tried the moldy tools apps. The leveling tool seems to be blind friendly. You lay your iPhone on a flat surface and double tap the calibrate button. When it beeps that is telling you it's ready for business. You can calibrate your iPhone flat laying down or stand on any side for a wide range of uses. I was delighted that when it was level, it beeped and when you were dead on it remained a constant tone.

Then I tried the other carpenter tools. Not a one of them was blind friendly. They go out of their way to make them pretty etc. To bad they didn't make them functional for all instead of how artful they appeared. Other then that, I have as of yet to find one app that all the tools are accessible. I do not remember the name of the app I tried with the accessible level but they all need to beep etc. Then my wife found a level in the hardware store that did the same thing.

The part of the app that let you measure was not accessible either. I would of thought that the tape measure would of been the one that would be accessible.

Subject: Measuring tape

Has anyone tried the apps for measuring tape? There's an app that uses GPS to measure small distances. Don't think it probably works good. Wondered if any of you have tried something like that
