I've only done it a couple times, it gives you a brief description. Usually enough to jog my memory of what the pic is. Give it a try, it's pretty cool.
And funny enough, I'm not too worried about space, but why have digital clutter. ;) I do only have the 16gb iPhone. Thank you to the person that suggested 2 specific apps to keep. I think for now, I'll leave them in iTunes, but take some of them off my iPhone.
