Remember too that sluggish is a very subjective term. Is it sluggish compared to the 5C/5s or compared to IOS 6 running on the 4S?

I thought it was said that IOS 7 was sluggish on the 4, not the 4S. I
have heard two different opinions on this and so am not sure whether or
not my boyfriend should upgrade his 4S.

Back up everything to I-Tunes and to the cloud if possible. Doing both will
ensure that your information will be in one or the other or both places. I
recommend you not upgrade the 4S to IOS 7. In a previous post it was
pointed
out that the 4S when working with IOS 7 is sluggish. If you are going to
get
or thinking to get a 5s than do it, and leave the upgrade of the 4S to it's
next owner.
Check with AT&T, but they ought to be able to help you with the upgrade and
transfer of files from your old to your new phone, however I did run in
to a
problem when I attempted to upgrade from a 4 to a 5 when utilizing the
services of a Verizon employee. For further assistance, contact apple
accessability at 877 204-3930.

Subject: Questions About Upgrading To The New IOS/Getting The New Iphone5S

Hi Everyone:

I currently have an Iphone 4S. I have had this 4s for around two years
now.
I have tons of music on it, nine pages of apps, and tons of contacts.
Because it's been around two years since I've gotten a new phone, I am
considering possibly getting the new Iphone 5S.
However, with all my music, contacts, and apps on this phone what do I
need to do to ensure everything could be transferred to the new phone
if I get one?
I of course will sync my phone to Itunes and will click the "back up"
button.
I also have stuff backed up on ICloud.
However, how will this work? Can they transfer my music and contacts
at the AT&T store?
Also, whether I get the new phone or not, I am planning to upgrade to
the new IOS7.
Since it is such a major upgrade, how can I ensure I don't lose my
music and contacts after upgrading?
If I make sure to sync my phone and hit the "back up" button, and then
make sure to do a "backup" in ICloud, should I be covered then?
I am most concerned about my contacts and music more than anything.
Thanks,
Kerri
