John: You say check the song you want to put on your iPhone and hit the sink button to transfer the song to your device. However, I don't see a list of music once I check the music radio button.

If you chose to have all the songs in ITunes copied on to your phone then from the main ITunes screen choose file, add folder to library, tab once to select folder, and press enter. This will add any songs to your ITunes library that are not already there. If you just want to add a single song and you individually choose the music which goes on to your phone, choose your device in ITunes, press the space bar on music, check the song you want to add, and tab to sink and press enter.
