Maybe, but I want location services on for some apps. I just like Apple's
weather because it never had given me the info I want.

Hi Rose,

No, you won’t get it back and neither will the old app switcher come back
which I think and most would agree is a good thing since the new one is so
much easier and faster to use.

As for weather in the Notification Center, I believe it will go away if you
go to Settings, Privacy, Location Services and turn location services off
for Weather.

You may have to restart your phone before this takes effect.

Also, if you go to Settings, Notification Center, you can turn off the Today
Summary, Calendar Day View, Stocks and Tomorrow’s Summary.

Now, when you pull down to get into the Notification Center, there are 3
buttons, Voiceover focuses on the first one which is “Today.

If you turn off everything I mentioned above, all you have here is the date.

Now, if you double tap on the “All” button, your Notification Center looks
very much as it did in iOS 6, if you have notifications of apps they will
show up here with the familiar “Clear Section” button underneath the heading
for each app which clears the notifications for said app.

The third button across the top is “Missed”.

This will give you a quick way to see all your missed calls if you had any.

You can press the home key or do the scrub gesture to exit Notification
Center.

I think you will find that if you double tap “All” that it should stay
selected unless you reboot your phone.

If it doesn’t it’s easy to swipe right once after Notification Center opens
and then do a double tap to select it.

Regards,

Sieghard

Is there a way to remove the weather widget from the message screen? I
never near a temperature, or if I do it was 20 degrees off, it takes up
space and while I am at it I don't need to see the calendar unless I have
events on it, then what I need are the event and time. I guess I am saying
I want the old message center back, at least is served a purpose. Of
course, it won't happen, will it?

Interesting! I also live in Canada and for the moment it does not state the
current temperature. I somehow remember it's doing so at an earlier point.
Maybe there tweaking the web services. Here is what it says in my case. By
the way, I love the copy to clipboard off the last spoken phrase

Cloudy currently. The high will be 12°. Partly cloudy tonight with a low of
4°.

Hi,

For me it says right now this:

Cloudy currently, it’s 16 degrees, the high will be 16 degrees

Of course I am in Canada nand have my temperature set to Celsius, but I
followed Sarah’s instructions a few days ago and that did it very well.

While I have managed to get the weather widget to show in the today view of
the notification center, the current temperature seems to be missing. Can
anyone confirm this, or am I experiencing an anomaly?
