It's still way down at the bottom. I deleted a few this morning. Double tap the edit button, and flick about 100 times, (smile), it will appear. In IOS 6 I could go into the edit field while on a contact and find a delete contact button which let me erase the complete contact. I can't seem to find one in IOS 7.
