On my 4S running IOS 6 I sometimes had this problem. I'd try to reply to an email or send a text and the keyboard simply wouldn't show up. The only way I found to re-establish the on-screen keyboard was to turn the phone off and wait a bit and turn it back on. That solved the problem every time. So far, I haven't had this happen with IOS 7. God bless! Paula and Babe
