Well, first, suggest you nominate a couple or few importent senders to put in the ivp folder, thsoe will produce notifications individually.
Then somewhere in Notifications, you get a choice of notification type - I don't understand the types between badges, alerts, and whatever; but if you look at sms messages and what that is set to; then set the email, or the VIP email at least, to the same as that. Sorry I'm not being dot-specific, but that is a reasonable jist.
