I see four stations, none of which appeal to me, all for the teen set I assume.

This is about 20 or so. If you click on the add new station button at the bottom, you'll get a chance to search for a artist, song or genre or choose from a list of genres. Once you find what you want you can double tap on the create new station button and then it'll show up beneath the featured stations in a section called My Stations.
