Hi, Tom and others. I had this happen periodically while running IOS 6. I never use a blue tooth keyboard, yet the on-screen keyboard would sometimes totally disappear. The solution for me was to turn the phone off, wait a little, then turn it back on. This worked every time. Hope this helps. God bless!
