Actually, I did not do that Ricardo and thanks so much for setting me straight. Everything is now working as it should. I really made an effort to peruse the JBL user manual for such an instruction before posting but did not find it.
Just out of curiosity, is there a universal step for putting a bluetooth device in pairing mode or does that vary from device to device? I suspect it's the latter.
