Pablo, Another consideration is the Ballistic Hard Core case. The Hard core case opens up like a sandwich to cradle the iPhone and hold it tightly in place. It uses a very hard plastic to hold the iPhone without moving. A rubber case fits over the Hard Core plastic case. The Hard Core case has a screen protector, tiny doors that close to protect jacks from getting in dust and dirt, and a belt holster.
I have a very dark gray case that is virtually black. Hard core cases also come in many different colors as well. A sighted friend told me that the colors are not the really cool color shades like with the iPhone 5C, but weird blues, greens, and reds. I didn’t choose the Lifeproof case because I was concerned that the quality of voice input and output would be compromised in putting the iPhone in a water tight bubble. The Otterbox Defender clamps the iPhone in place rather than holding it in tightly in a hard plastic core. Many Otterbox Defender owners on Amazon complain that the iPhone eventually wiggles a little in the Otterbox case. This slight movement invariably leaves permanent scratches on the front glass of the iPhone. I don’t want a scratched up iPhone glass! Recognizing touch gestures is highly important to me. I feel that for the same price, I am protected much, much more with the Ballistic Hard Core case than with the other popular cases, such as the OB Defender.
