Hi,

Since the update to ios7, I find I have, on average, 1500 messages in my
inbox at any time. I seem to have lost the ability to confine the inbox to the
50 most recent messages. Now, for some reason I don't like to delete mail,
instead, I have always relied of Google to keep my mail, past and present,
safely in the cloud for me, but how to do this now?

    My questions are therefore,
1, If I choose to archive all my mail, will I sti,l be able to search in the
same way should I choose to do so?

2. I see there is a gmail app, has anyone tried this? Will it improve my
situation, offer me more options etc, or will it confuse things even more?

Lastly, I have a tendency to put special messages, for future action, in my
"starred" folder: however, when I went into that folder yesterday, I found it
filled with ancient mails, mails I had before I even had an iPhone! and all my
carefully stored, starrred messages are either lost or buried amidst these
ancient messages. I am in a mess re my mail since the ios7 update and so, any
help would be much appreciated!

    Sandy.
