Thank you all for your replies from far away! I too am puzzled as I have tried over and over entering the passcode numbers via keypad or handwriting and after the final digit I wait and wait and nothing happens - until I tap OK when I succeed in getting to my home page. Could it be because I have a six digit passcode rather than 4? Even with touch ID the passcode is required when restarting phone. And a 3 finger swipe right after entering numbers has no effect.
