Carol Whenever Siri doesn’t answer straight away I’ve learned not to wait and I know that, if he (in the UK Siri’s a he) doesn’t respond instantly then nine times out of ten he won’t respond at all. So I don’t waste time and I just reissue the command and chances are he’ll come right back. I literally wait no more than two seconds before reissuing. I’m not sure why it’s an all or nothing thing like this but I have found it a really useful strategy as I used to slavishly wait for a response and, as I say, nine times out of ten was disappointed because you’d wait ten or fifteen seconds only for him to apologise profusely about being unavailable.
