Is it talking about the password to set up keychain? If so this is actually a 4 digit passcode that you must enter on your device. No passcode, no keychain.

Hi all. I was under the impression that one's iCloud password was the same
as the Apple ID. But, when I update to a new OS, at the end of the update, I
get asked to go to iCloud to finish the setup. I enter this password and am
told that it is incorrect. I know I can back up to iCloud, because I just
did it, but how do I know it's really backing up if I am not sure I'm
entering the right password.

Further question.

Is there a way to look at what is stored on the iCloud from either the
device or from iTunes?

Thanks much.
