Hi Lee, I can't say much about the native Podcast app since I use Downcast. If you don't mind spending $2, I highly recommend you do that and get Downcast, it is by far one of the best Podcasting apps out there. iCatcher is also good, but I think it's a buck more and allin all most people both on the list and even sighted people would agree that Downcast is fantastic. In Downcast I can search for a Podcast by name and I have always found anything I was looking for.
As for the App Store app, using enter on the Bluetooth keyboard works fine and basically does the same as double tapping Search on the virtual keyboard.
