I recently discovered that you can record a voice memo, then share it. Assuming you know how to record a voice memo, after you record it, the share button is in the area where you play back your memo. The only problem with this is that the file is in the .m4a format, so they will have to be able to play that format. I just sent an inquiry to Today In IOS via this method.
