Hi,
After reading all the various comments about different recognition apps, I
decided to try CamFind again. Now, I must say, I am pretty handy with the use
of the camera on my for S: so I purposely chose to take shots at odd angles of
various items: I thave to say, if you're looking for a product recognition app,
CamFind is by far the easiest to use and is the most forgiving of skewed shots.
It isn't an OCR app, but the item once identified can be researched via the
various webpages and advertising sites etc.

I have never fully understood peoples love of TapTapSee or for that matter
talking goggles, with both of them, I find, that the information is slow and
inadequate. I would urge people to think outside the box and try other apps
depending upon your needs at the time. I am thinking in particular of
TextGrabber, CamFind, and biz wiz/oMoby.

The reason why many mainstream recognition apps don't need to charge is because
they are de facto advertising products. I prefer to jump on that wagon rather
then subscribe to something which is inadequate and looks to be rather
expensive!

Just my observations,
Sandy.
