You can only buy kindle books through the amazon web site whether on your phone or laptop.
If you have one click purchasing enabled it's very easy. One thing to be aware of is there is a combo box where you will need to select where you want the book delivered. For example, on my account the choices are Kimberly's kindle, Kimberly's iPhone etc. So if you want the book to go to your phone, be sure Rebecca's iPhone is selected in the combobox, click the buy with one click button, then the next time you open the kindle app on the phone, the book will download.
