I'm assuming here we're talking about dictation in a text field? I'll do a single finger double tap on a text message or an email I want to reply to. That opens up the text entry field. Then I'll do a 2 finger double tap to start dictation. When I'm finished, I repeat the two finger double tap. I love how dictation gives you think time when you need it too. Hope I'm responding to the right question. If not, please accept my humble apologies for wasting your time.

Alan

Hi, correct me if I'm wrong, but 2-finger double-tap is only used to end dictation. to start it, one must double tap the dictate button. So, if you or someone is trying to dictate, you don't start with 2-finger double-tap. This would have the expected results of playing what ever was last being played. it's always worked for me this way.

The edit field must be in editing mode, and the onscreen keyboard must be active. If a bluetooth keyboard is running and the onscreen keyboard is hidden, dictation does not activate.

Hi all,
I was reading a book using voice dream. I quit the book, and then went to dictate an e-mail. I double tapped in the e-mail edit box, and it simply started the book I had stopped reading. Can anyone tell me why this is happening?
Thanks.
