I don't understand why you consider iTunes Gift Cards to be so
inconvenient.
You can get them virtually everywhere from grocery stores and drug stores
to
most convenience stores and if you watch a bit for the deals it's often
possible to get 10% or sometimes even 20% off a particular card. If you
were
able to grab a $15 card for $12 which sometimes is offered then the $10
monthly subscription for the Seeing Eye app would only cost $8 and I
consider these deals a bargain. I have a credit card on file with my
iTunes
account yet I almost always buy a gift card and put it on my account,
personally I much prefer this especially for small purchases like a
Dollar
or 2, I rather not have a bunch of these little transactions on my credit
card.
If budgeting is an issue, just throw a Loony into a can every Sunday,
that
would give you $52 in a year and if you then catch a 20% off promo before
Christmas you can get a $50 card for $40. Sorry, for all you
non-Canadians,
a Loony is a 1 Dollar coin, so called because of the Loon (a water bird)
on
one side.

Hello all. I just noticed that the Seeing Eye GPS app has an update.
Amongst several bug fixes and enhancements they have added a
monthly subscription. I don't yet know the cost however because
when I try to go there I get an error telling me that it's unable
to purchase. Most likely this is an error they overlooked because I
see the price for the 3 year and the 1 year subscription, but the
monthly one has no price. So, I'm curious to find out what that
subscription will be. If anyone here knows what that cost is,
please share. I haven't looked on their site as yet because I'm
writing this email just a minute after trying the app on the
iPhone. So if the information is there, this is my bad for being
lazy and not checking first.
