Have you tried going to http://groups.google.com/group/viphone?hl=en
(the link at the bottom of each message) and changing your membership
settings to say you don't want email messages sent?
I don't know what screen reader and web browser you use, but with Orca
and Firefox, I follow the link above, select "My Settings" right above
the list of messages in the broup, choose the Membership and Email
settings and then select "Don't send emails". After that, I just have to
select the save option.
BTW, a more specific subject line might help you get your question noticed.
