If you want it to sound better, try going to settings, then music. Sound check will help make all songs play at the same volume, and you can choose a different equalizer setting by double tapping the EQ button. I have it set to Base Booster, and it sounds great. If you just want a different music app, there is one called Muxica that works pretty well. I had some issues with it after putting iOS 7 on my phone last fall, where it would not remember the current playlist I was in after several hours of not playing music. So I went back to the stock Music app. One great thing about Muxica is that it automatically fades in and out of songs, making listening to a playlist very enjoyable, and almost like you're listening to the radio. I think it costs, but not sure on the price. I want to say $1.99.
