Hi, You might want to experiment with the setting changing the font to white on black background. This is found in settings-general-accessibility-under the visual settings. I tried the zoom feature on my iPhone 4 for a client, but the zoom was limited. AI Square, the maker of ZoomText does have an app for the phone that some have liked. I'm not quite sure of the name because I have only light perception. HTH.
